Day 1 - Here we go

Preston to Darlington

Today's route generally heads North East taking in the some of the best driving roads that England has to offer. The scenery will be dramatic and will host two easy Regularity sections to start the competitive element of the Rally, interrupted by a mid-morning coffee halt.

A planned Lunch near Skipton at Bolton Abbey will then see crews departing North to take in another stunning drive containing a Regularity and the first special Test of the event to raise the heart rate.

As usual afternoon Tea will be taken at a fitting venue before the route finds its way to the overnight halt at the cosseting Rockcliffe Hall Hotel.

Day 2 - An easy day perhaps?

Darlington to Darlington

Enjoy the luxury of not having to pack your bags this morning, as the route is a loop today finishing back at Rockcliffe Hall.

The morning comprises of the picturesque roads of the North York Moors containing a Regularity section and a Historic Hill Climb Test before lunch.

The roads back to the hotel will contain at least one Regularity and a tea halt, and a slightly earlier finish so that participants can enjoy the hotel facilities and the weather permitting BBQ among the cars

Day 3 - The longest day

Darlington to Edinburgh

Today’s route is almost linear from Rockcliffe Hall Nr Darlington to Edinburgh, at the end of the day it is quite a distance and will be the longest day of the rally. But expect Regularities on open undulating “drivers” roads. For halts, think castles and ornate interesting buildings.

We also plan to use one of the beverage stops as a Test venue. Before you know it, the welcoming sight of the Malmaison and the big push North will be complete.

Day 4 - The end is in sight

Edinburgh to Edinburgh

Once again, like Wednesday, you will not need to pack your bags this morning, as the last day of the event will see you go in a clockwise circle South to Kelso before heading back to Edinburgh.

This interesting area with its attractive rivers and countryside will play host to two Regularities in the morning before yet another castle lunch.

The final sting in the tail will be an interesting smooth Test before you head back to the finish, champagne through the arch, the group pictures and the champagne spraying for the top three.

The evening drinks reception and Gala Awards Dinner will be on Board the Royal Yacht Britannia.
