HERO Challenge Three – September 2021

A one day event

25 September 2021

The final round of the HERO Challenge Championship will start from HERO-ERA HQ at Bicester Heritage. Although predominantly aimed at novice and intermediate crews, those taking part in the championship will see the challenges develop throughout the year. With eight regularities and twelve tests it will be an action packed day.

To get out further west and explore the roads that the Cotswolds have to offer we will be finishing the event near Banbury, a short drive back to Bicester Heritage if you make use of the trailer parking facilities at the start venue.

Bicester to Banbury

Starting from the HERO - ERA HQ the morning will be busy with tests as we make use of the airfield peritrack at Bicester Heritage returning for another round and morning coffee before heading west towards the Cotswolds. Eight regularities will keep navigators on their toes and with more test action at Shennington before finishing the event near Banbury it will be an exciting day.

Vehicle Information

  • Only cars built pre-1986 or a model available pre-1986 are eligible to enter
  • All cars will be eligible for overall awards unless the crew are deemed to be ‘Masters’
  • The cars will be split into classes based on age and CC
  • The scoring on the test sections is class based so you will be scoring against other similar aged vehicles
  • Vehicle eligibility is defined in the HERO Standard Regulations

A Master will be defined by both members of the crew in the seat or position entered who has finished in the top five of a HERO, CRA or National B Historic Road Rally (or any other event at the Organisers discretion) in the last 5 years. The type of car and what category it is in is irrelevant, this class will purely be based on the crew’s experience
