Peak District
The Hero Challenge one will follow the principle of moving the event around the country and be based at one of Hero’s favourite venues, the Peak District. With Rally HQ at “Casa” in Chesterfield, this exposes us to an excellent choice of roads and stunning scenery that the area has to offer.
The format of the Hero Challenge one is a one day action packed event that should scratch all levels of a competitors itch but will be aimed at the novice crews who want to take things to the next level and one of our Blue category events.
Documentation and pre-event formalities takes place on Friday afternoon, ready for an 8:30 start on Saturday morning. A straightforward route is designed to ease you into the event, then as the day progresses the intensity will increase as the day goes on. The rally ends mid-afternoon with prize giving and a buffet dinner (social distancing rules allowing)

Starting at 08:30 crews will take on a mixture of driving Tests and Regularities. There will be a morning coffee stop, a lunch halt and finish with a dinner and awards ceremony.
A master will be defined by both crew members in the seat they have entered the event who have finished first overall on a HERO green or blue standard event, in the top three of a red or black event (including Rally of the Tests in the overall positions including non-eligible cars), received the Gold medal on Le Jog or in the top three of a HRCR National B Road Rally in the last 3 years. If a crew begins the 2020 season not as a master, then they will remain a non-master for a period of that season.
