We displayed this SS at Race Retro in 2015 - it drew large crowds of admiring enthusiasts, amongst them was the gentleman who designed Lamborghini's Aventador and Audi's TT. He had never seen an SS in the flesh and took 45 minutes to look over every inch and declare it as 'design perfection, not one straight line over her body' Continuing the Italian tradition of small, highly tuned engines, the Giulietta Sprint Speciale has a 1300cc engine that drives her low-drag body along very nicely. Now becoming increasingly rare, this vehicle is primarily for corporate and private events, however, it would be ideal for touring style events such as Scottish Malts and Summer Trial. It has to be driven to be appreciated, a style and design classic.
The first prototype of the Giulietta SS was presented in 1957 at the Turin Motor Show. After two more prototypes were presented in car shows, the official presentation of the production version for the press was on 24 June 1959 on the Monza race track. The first 101 cars produced had "low nose" and 750 SS designation. 100 cars minimum were needed to homologate a car in FIA regulations.
While there were some all-aluminium cars produced, the majority of these cars had steel bodies with aluminium doors, engine bonnet and boot lid. Also first cars were equipped with Weber 40 DCO3 carburettors, later changed to 40 DCOE2. The drag coefficient of the Sprint Speciale is 0.28, the same as a Chevrolet Corvette (C6), and was not surpassed for more than twenty years. Cars used the 1,290 cc Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine, a design with hemispheric combustion chambers and valves controlled directly by twin overhead camshafts.

Our pricing is simple. Cars are priced by group and package price for HERO events. Cars are also available for corporate hire, bespoke tours, gift driving days and some also for promotional film work.
All our cars are regularly maintained by specialist mechanics. Each car is prepared to meet the requirements of regularity rallying. Arrangements can be made to view and drive the cars prior to hiring. Cars are equipped with a tripmeter and when necessary a “navigators event pack” and can be collected by the hirer, from our base in Bicester Heritage, or delivered to and collected from the event (additional charges apply).
Prior to taking control of the vehicle, our A&D team will do a full handover of the vehicle showing you all the controls and go through the vehicle with you.
