Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce - 1961 (LHD)

The Giulietta used an Alfa Romeo twin cam engine of 1290 cc straight-4, with a light alloy cylinder block and an alloy cylinder head with twin overhead camshafts. The original Giulietta engine produced a power output of 62 hp (46 kW) in the sedan and 80 hp (60 kW) in the Giulietta Sprint. This was to be increased to 100 hp (75 kW) in later sporting models such as the Giulietta Sprint Speciale and the Giulietta Sprint Zagato. 1.3l engine had 74mm bore and 75mm stroke.

Veloce - Italian for fast, this beautiful, nimble and exciting car was recently chosen by Paolo Marcattilj to help him seal the FIA Trophy for Historic Regularity Rallies on the 2015 Rally of the Tests. At just 1290cc you may expect this vehicle to be under-powered - far from it, the engine is a twin cam four cylinder that feeds through sidedraught carburettors meaning the sound of this stunner matches the way it looks. A compact cockpit with a very period dash and trim, the Spider Veloce has original bucket seats that allow you to feel the car's feedback as you press on, a truly wonderful handling car as you would expect from Alfa Romeo.

Available on HERO Events throughout the UK and Europe

Vehicle Hire Details

Our pricing is simple. Cars are priced by group and package price for HERO events. Cars are also available for corporate hire, bespoke tours, gift driving days and some also for promotional film work.

All our cars are regularly maintained by specialist mechanics. Each car is prepared to meet the requirements of regularity rallying. Arrangements can be made to view and drive the cars prior to hiring. Cars are equipped with a tripmeter and when necessary a “navigators event pack” and can be collected by the hirer, from our base in South Wales, or delivered to and collected from the event (additional charges apply).

Prior to taking control of the vehicle, our A&D team will do a full handover of the vehicle showing you all the controls and go through the vehicle with you.
